Miami & Orlando with my friends

Have you ever dreamed of traveling with a big group of girlfriends to your fave spot? Yeah, me too. I always wanted to go to the Orlando parks with my friends and we were finally able to plan it! The seven of us are content creators so we were the perfect mix for this trip, perfect outfits and tons of pics were in the plans.

I was actually in Miami for my cousin's wedding (maid of honor over here) and stayed there for two weeks until my girls came over from Bogotá. We had two nights in Miami Beach, thanks to the travel agency Vas a Viajar who organized the hotel for us, and we went to the beach and shopping, so the perfect relaxed days. And then we headed to Orlando, we were seven girls so of course one car was not enough. We got two cars, one mini van and a small car from AeroCars, to fit all of our bags and headed over. Our designated drivers were great (more than half of us don't drive) and we made it by early afternoon.

We stayed at Universal's Aventura Hotel and wow! Let me tell you, I have stayed in a few hotels in Orlando to be close to the parks, but they have nothing on the Aventura Hotel. This hotel is so high tech, literal IPads to turn on the tv, lights, alarms, etc. and robots(!!!). The rooms were so comfortable (remember seven girls in two rooms) and perfect for our stay. At night by the pool they had movies on a screen and a rooftop restaurant to wind down.  

The view from the rooms had Volcano Bay (Universal's water park) which got us excited from the second we got in! That night we went up to the rooftop to have dinner and you could see all the Universal parks from there and we were ready to start our park adventures.

And then the next day we were ready to head to Disney World! We all dressed up in our cutest, but comfy!, Minnie inspired outfits and drove over to the parks. You can read all my tips for the Disney parks in this post. We had a great time and went to Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. After lots of pictures and not so many rides, we made the big mistake of not getting fast passes previously, we watched the Fantasmic show which is my absolute favorite show in all of the parks. We ended up at a CVS at 11pm because my friends had not followed my tips and so they wanted to buy some water and food to take to the parks.

Then it was time for our two day adventure at the Universal Parks, we had park-to-park tickets so we went to both parks and the Universal Express pass so we were able to enjoy to the max. Since we stayed at a Universal Hotel we didn't have to drive, we could use the bus shuttles to the parks or walk over to the hotel across the street and take the boats over to City Walk, it was so perfect to be able to use them as the girls were so tired by the end that not driving was a gift. I am the biggest Harry Potter fan and whenever I go to the Wizarding World I feel like crying tears of joy because of how perfect everything is! 

Since we had the express passes we were able to go on every single ride we wanted to (except Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure since the express doesn't apply for it and the shortest line was two and a half hours). Most of us love thrill rides so we went on all the rollercoasters, many of them more than twice, and just enjoyed it so much! And also we were able to have a bit more freedom because of the hotel shuttles, since if any one was too tired they could just leave earlier and whoever wanted to stay till closing time could do so too. 

Of course we were exhausted by the end of those days, but we were given the amazing opportunity to head the next day to Volcano Bay and have a private cabana. None of us had ever been to a water park and to be honest we were not sure if we were gonna like it, but we were wrong! We had a blast! The water rides are incredible, the group rides are so fun to ride with friends and the thrill individual slides are crazy. I rode a drop slide and I don't think I have ever had so much adrenaline running though my veins, it was beyond cool. If you can get a cabana I definitely recommend it because we were able to even have a nap to power up and keep on going.

We headed back to Miami the next day after some outlet shopping, faced tons of traffic and went straight to bed. And that was the last day of our trip. We really had such a great time and can't wait to travel together again!
